April and Fools

Almost done with school. Only 6 weeks left. I will be taking summer classes though, only 2 classes, then I will officially be finished with my Bachelors in English. I just learned about AmeriCorps as well. It is also a volunteering organization, but more exclusive. Its only in the U.S and usually working in schools as teacher assistants. The schools are also usually around the town the person lives, but can also move to another city or state. This is even better for me, since I can't really afford to move anywhere. I still have yet to hear from Peace Corps. I will definitely still go to Peace Corps if I do get accepted. In the mean time I can do this. AmeriCorps is one year long, from September to August. It is same as school days and hours. The volunteers get holidays the same as the school, and they get paid $425 every 2 weeks. They also give $5,000 roughly, for after the person is done, to help find jobs, or pay loans .. etc. I'm also applying for graduate school for the School of Education at University at Buffalo, which is a bit detailed, the AmeriCorps application was even more tedious. I just hope I get somewhere..

But for now I still have to focus on my classes. I have serious trouble with waking up in the morning. Last semester I failed a course because I missed so many classes. There was misunderstanding, my professor said I would still pass, if I went to the rest of the classes. Ofcourse I didn't, hence I wanted to drop the class. So now I feel this de ja vu happening. I really can't afford to fail another class, since I got my financial aid taken away. Now I am surviving on  last semesters loan. This class, although the beginning of the semester I was doing great. I have missed 11 classes so far. I am only allowed 4 free absences. So I guess I have now 7 unexcused absences. Ef My Life. But I still have 14 more classes. I guess I can pass with a C or C+. I mean I got a B- on the midterm. This class is 9:00a.m in the morning. I hate waking up early. I don't mind waking up, but I like to take my time getting ready. So, if I wake up, I would have to wake up at 7:00 a.m or 6:00 a.m. I want too wake up slowly, wash face, brush teeth, change clothes, pick decent outfit if I am in the mood to look nice. It doesn't make difference since I always wear my jacket, and never take it off in school. I then brush hair, do light make up, takes about 15-20 minutes. Then I want to make lunch for school and eat breakfast. So all this will add up to an hour or more. Then I also have to walk to the smaller campus, and take the bus from there. The school about a mile away. Technically, I only walk 2 blocks and I'm in the campus, but the bus stop is all the way across at the other end. So I have to go across the entire campus. It takes me about 15-20 minutes to walk. So I have to get this in my time frame too. Then if the bus is there or not. Usually the buses are frequent, its the schools buses, which is nice and convinient. Then I also have to figure in the time it takes to get to the bigger campus, which is about 25-25 minutes, depending on traffic and the bus driver. So that is 30-40 minutes right there.

My other problem is I get really bad cramps in my ankles when I walk, I have no idea why this happens, it has been happening to me for years. During the winter I did not have an issue, since I guess my feet were too cold to notice? I know now its warmer, so I feel the pain so much. I have to stop for a few seconds sometimes to get my ankles to relax. Maybe its an early morning thing. Because by the end of my day I am fine. I can walk home normally without pain, and sometimes even quicker. I know that the pain is only in my left ankle. I did get in a car accident once when I was 9 years old. I got hit by a car walking, crossing the street. My left ankle was just sore-ish. I used crutches for 2 weeks. So, I am not sure if that could be a reason? The other issue I also had was back pain. But it went away. I just notice that sometimes if I walk for long amounts of time, and am carrying something after awhile my sholders start to feel heavy. Not sure again, if it has to do with this incident I had?

But anyway, so if I can calculate: 10 minutes in washing, teeth.. 10 minutes with clothes, hair. 15-20 minutes in make up, food and breakfast would be 15-25 minutes ( I never do this though but I want to), 15-20 minutes walking to campus, 20-25 minutes getting to north. So that is 1 hour and 20 minutes without the food stuff. With it is, 1 hour and 35-45 minutes. I need to have at least 10 minutes to be early in class, so thats 1 hour and 45-55 minutes. Basically 2 hours, so if my class is at 9:00 a.m I need to be up at 7:00 a.m? so I would get to campus at 8:50 a.m? but again I can't be that precise. So I would get up at 6:30 a.m. cause sometimes I am slow. But what I end up doing is waking up at 8:00 a.m doing basically the washing up to make up. Then I get to campus by 8:40-55. I get to north by 9:15-20. the class ends at 9:50 a.m so I have 30 minutes left. or sometimes less. Now again, sometimes it takes me time to wake up, so 8:00 a.m turns to 8:10 or 8:15 a.m... Yes I suck at life. My problem is I guess I sleep late... like I am now. Ughh thats it. Good night.
